Who we are

K2J LLC started in 2015 as an event entertainment company working weddings and parties around Metro Detroit. The gear, the software and the problem-solving that came with that work turned into two more businesses, and all three now operate as divisions of the same company.

The company is owner-operated. That is deliberate: the person who quotes a job is the person who shows up to do it, and there is no layer in between to lose the details. It keeps the company small, and it is the reason clients get a direct line rather than a ticket number.

What ties the divisions together

On paper the three divisions look unrelated — a DJ company, a 3D printing shop and a software studio. In practice they share the same job: take something a client can only describe, and hand back something that works on the day it matters.

A reception has one shot at going right. A replacement part either fits or it does not. An app either works on a stranger's phone or it gets uninstalled. Those are the same discipline applied to different materials, and it is why the divisions share tooling, staff and a back office instead of being run as separate companies.

Legal structure

K2J LLC is the sole legal entity. K2J Entertainment, Print Nation 3D and K2J Gaming are registered assumed names — brands the company trades under, not separate companies. Contracts, insurance, licensing, tax reporting and liability all sit with K2J LLC.

Software published to the Apple App Store and Google Play is published by K2J LLC, developed under the K2J Gaming brand. Support for those titles is handled by the company directly — see App Support.
